Embedded content from other websites
The articles on this site may include embedded content (videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the same way as if the visitor were using that other website.
These websites may collect your personal data, use cookies, embed third-party tracking tools and track your interactions with the embedded content in question if you have created an account on their website.
Statistics and audience measurement
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The Universal Analytics mode is activated. This makes it possible to assign data, sessions and interactions across multiple devices to a pseudonymous identifier, which allows us to analyse a user’s activities across multiple devices.
Google Analytics uses cookies to analyse your use of the website. The information contained in the cookie about your use of the website is generally transferred to a Google server in the United States and stored there. However, when IP anonymisation is activated on this website, your IP address will be shortened by Google in the Member States of the European Union or in other states that are signatories to the European Economic Area Agreement. The complete IP address will only be transferred to and shortened on a Google server in the United States in exceptional cases. The IP address transmitted by your browser for processing by Google Analytics is not combined with other Google data. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for the website operator and providing other services to that website operator regarding use of the website and the internet. These activities are also included in the scope of our legitimate interest in processing data. In order to ensure processing legitimacy, we only process your data with Google Analytics after obtaining your consent in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR. You may of course revoke your consent at any time. The data we send that is linked to cookies, user IDs or IDs for advertisers is automatically deleted after 14 months. Data that has reached the end of its retention period is automatically deleted once a month. You can find more information on the terms of use and data protection measures here: https://policies.google.com/?hl=en.
Use and transmission of your personal data
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
Periods when your data is stored
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are stored indefinitely. This allows subsequent comments to be automatically recognised and approved instead of leaving them in the moderation queue.
In respect of accounts created on our website (if applicable), we also store the personal data specified in the account profile. All account holders can view, edit or delete their personal information at any time (except for their ID). The website administrators can also view and modify this information.
Your rights in respect of your data
If you have created an account or have left comments on the website, you may ask to be sent a file containing all of your personal data that we store, including the data you have provided to us. You can also request erasure of your personal data. This does not apply to data stored for administrative, legal or security reasons.
Transmission of your personal data
